I tried to remove Windows Media Player...But I get a notice saying that it cannot be deleted because other programs may be using it.
How do I figure out what programs are using windows media player? Thanks.

Anyway... a web brower maybe? Could be a bunch of things, I guess. Trying killing as many apps/processes as you can and try again. If that doesn't work, maybe booting into Safe Mode? edit: actually, just dawned on me... just try installing it again. screw getting it uninstalled, its probably unnecessary.

I have an intermittent problem with WMP where it won't shut down properly, and when I try to run it again, it just won't. Then I open the task manager and kill its process. I haven't had the trouble with WMP 9 though.
