Help with monitor display colours
Help -Have set my mum up with a P.C and Internet accesses, (god help her and us the grey army approaches). The monitor only has two colour or 16 colour options, when checking in the display, why is the case and how can I get it back to say 256.

If your monitor cant display more than 16 colours, you cant get more out of it.
However, you can check your monitor properties by right clicking on your desktop. Then choose settings. Here you can change the colour options. Good luck |
the monitor can handle256, it is not being shown as an option to change to ( WIn98)

You need to install the video drivers for the video card in the computer. That will allow more colors and a bigger resolution to be chosen. Without video drivers installed (or even with the wrong ones), only a very low amount of colors will be allowed and the resolution will be VERY low. Good luck!

Try changing the monitor type to something else, like vga or svga, and see if it changes the options you can choose from.
