Recovery problem?

I need help. A friend gave me a spare 60 gig harddrive to replace my old 10 gig so I used the Western Digital Utility to copy the old one over. When I booted up with the new one everything seemed fine so I formatted the old drive. Thats when everything went to shit. The information I copied over is still there, but it says the drive isnt formatted right. Now I'm temporarily running a new XP install on my old harddrive until I can retrieve whats been copied to the new one.

Anyone know how I can get back my old files? I've tried Easy Recovery Pro but the files it brought back are in some strange format and file system. It only reads the old drive in RAW format.
