Help with Explorer.exe Error
I keep getting this Explorer.exe error everytime I use my computer now, it eventually goes away, but I don't know what the root of the problem is.
Windows XP P4 512 DDR 40 GB. Laptop. Toshiba Satellite 1905-S303. Thanks. |

The root of the problem is explorer.exe and its suckiness.
No, it seriously is. You should find a new shell application. They're basically the steering wheels that let you interact with the rest of the operating system. I suggest GeoShell. It'll take a little time for you to get used to it, but when an error pops up all you have to do is restart the program. ![]() |

You could get another shell... but that's a pain.
I've run into this problem when fixing people's computers before. Run Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy to see if there's any spyware on your system. The spyware isn't always the best programmed, and can cause explorer to crash repeatedly. |
