Converting FAT32 to NTFS
I have 2 hard drives on my computer, one is FAT32 and the other is NTFS. The FAT32 drive is just a storage drive, but I was wondering is there anyway to convert this drive to NTFS without formatting it and losing all the stuff already on it? If so is it even worth doing? Thanks in advance for your help.

Bring up your command prompt and type:
convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs You'll get some warning message but ignore it. I've never had a problem with it. But as always if you have critical info on there back it up. You'll have to reboot and it will convert after that. You can watch it happen while it does. |
That was easier than I thought it would be. Didn't restart, didn't get an error message and it only took about a minute to finish. Thanks!

You can't (easily) go back to Fat32 using that method.. enjoy NTFS! hehe.
