AVG free version finds virus but will not remove

I got some stuff off of kazaa and when I unwrapped it AVG resident shield warned of virus found and to run AVG full scan to remove it.

here is the message;

virus found, trojan horse backdoor. VB

C:\System Volume Information-restore{C7CD821B-CF90-41E4-913A-E25BDBD3BDB}RP176\A0022481.exe

How can I get rid of this bug?

Running XP no tweaks
P4 2.0mobile
40GB
512 RAM
32mb video
wifi

Thanks for all your suggestions

it looks like its stored inside your system restore points database, i'm not sure if deleting it would screw up your restore points.

switching off system restore and reenabling it might delete it, but will get rid of your restore points too. or maybe deleting certain restore points.

Crazy

Oooh, I had something similar where AVG would keep telling me I had this thing in System Volume Information but would then never find it when I did a scan.
I got rid of it by disabling System Restore, restarting Windows, then enabling it again. I don't know if there is an easier way.

Only the paid version will remove the virus, sorry dude. Looks like you'll gonna have to pay for it (or get a hacked version from kazaa but you didn't hear that from me)

Very clearly thought out!
