thanks. I wanted a 3000 or higher, but the price was ridiculous, and the 2500 was under $100.
The KT-600 is a decent chipset but the nf2 still beats it out. I'll let you know how I like the board when I get it all up and running Alas, I have but a mere gainward gf3... I might go ATI for christmas but I can't afford any more upgrades at the moment

Hey, belated Happy B'day, my fellow 9/13er!!
Yoshi, who's a kick-ass wife, got me a Shuttle, so I went on a shopping spree of my own. 1 GB of RAM via Circuit City (just $120), a DVD burner and (coming soon) a P4 2.4 GhZ chip. Along with the Shuttle came a 120 GB hard drive and I've got an ATI 9700 AIW sitting here waiting for a home. I can't wait to put it all together!!

hehe 9/12 ;P
That's awesome about your stuff, I wish i had a dvd burner... I originally wanted a p4 with hyperthreading and an abit IG7-MAX3, but it was way too expensive. I'm really jealous of your graphics card though... I'm still stuck with a gf3... which probably won't cut it when doom3 and hl2 finally come out I'm with ya on the anticipation... I can't wait to boot this baby up

it's aliiiiiive!!!
everything seems to be working well so far... I've only gone into the bios so far... with the ac on it said the ambient temp was 24C and the cpu temp was 19C... the bartons have internal diodes right? could it be off? it doesn't make sense the cpu temp would be lower than the ambient temp ô_o annnyyyhooow, I'll be doing some more testing this weekend... I'll let yall know how it goes.
