Home Page Question.....
On my AOL I have created a Personal webpage. I used Easy Designed. My question is how can I make my pictures on there to where people can't right click on them and steal them?? Can anyone help me out?? Thanks.

There is absolutely no way for you to completely block images from being saved to harddisk...
Consider it like television: there is no way a cable company can prevent you from recording the images. (short of hardware restrictions)... That said there are a few tricks you can do to confuse most users with javascript (google it), but I don't have any for you... Could it be better to watermark your pictures? |
Beware of popups, but if you go to
this site , they have a snippet of javascript code for that. I agree with Silvy, there is no way to completely safeguard the images (they could always just screen capture into mspaint...) For trademark purposes, watermarking is your best option. |
nope, even if you disable rightclicking on the webpage, the photos will still be downloaded to the persons PC. Once that happens they can just go into the browsers cache and save them from there.

Thanks for everyones feedback, I'll just becareful about what pics I put on there, thanks again guys.

there is no real way you can make it hard but any one who can use the print screen can get it
|
Since you can't really stop people from taking your pictures, you could put up smaller pictures or save them at a lower quality level. Still keep the high quality ones on your hard drive but the ones that people can take are then not the greatest.
