Need help with downloading from stream
 

ok on mtv.com the new Thursday album is being streamed for what reason i dont know, but its the whole thing and i can listen to it, but i was wondering if there was anyway i could download the songs from wherever they are being streamed from. here is the link.

I found an app. called radiolover using google. I had less options as a mac user. If you are on a PC, you should have no trouble finding one, but I don't know any by name. Try entering "Internet Streaming recording" in the google search field.

There are a couple programs called Streambox VCR and Streambox ripper that could do the job, but it would be better and easier to just find the album in mp3 format online.

If not, I'd recommend just waiting for the album to come out and buying it.

Streambox Ripper was withdrawn because of legal threats from Real. Good application that I'm sure you could find on the net somwhere. I used to use it to record BBC Radio 4 programs, because I can't get them "over the air" down here in Australia. I'm not certain, but even this was probably a bit suspect with regards to copyright.

Using it to record albums being streamed is definitely illegal.

Why not buy the album?

check out total recorder. it's the digital loopback. anything your computer outputs it can record as .wav or .mp3.

it hasnt come out yet. but a friend of mine got it. thanks for the help. i suggest EVERYONE check out this cd its really really awesome.
