Yet another question
So here's my situation. I have a 13 gig HD, partitioned into a 1.5 gig(OS) and an 11.5 gig(programs, data, etc). It has come to my attention that my 1.5 partition is too small. I scavenged an 8 gig from my family's old computer. I have to decide what to do now. Using a program such as Partition Magic, I should be able to kill the separation in the 13 gig, making that my OS/Programs drive and turn the 8 gig into straight data(read:mp3s and pr0n). How does this plan sound to you all? Any advice? I've nothing I can't lose, really, but lots I'd REALLY rather not. Thank ye kindly.

sounds good to me.
it's nice to use an old hd for storage purposes and the fast hd for loadup and program.s |
Yeah that sound pretty good. Partition Magic is just the program that you need. You will be able to merge the 2 partitions using partition magic. Its all pretty easy, good luck...

You got it exactly right. Let us know how it works out for you.

That works. You could also use partition magic to "grow" the OS partition (it'll consume empty space from the other one).
Partition Magic accidents happen, though. Back up important data. |
