QuickTime & Real Scheduler

they're pissin me off real bad.

they both have entries in the startup list and every time i uncheck them and reboot, they come back again.

wtf do they want? it's MY pc and i dont want them loading on startup.

i know it doesnt take up many resources, but i like startups to be as clean as possible.

anyway to permanantly stop these bastards from loading?

plz dont suggest uninstalling either program, as i use 'em both a lot.

Try and go into the program options and turn off Start on Boot. Thats what I had to do to MSN to make it quit starting up all the time, even after MSConfig

Yeah...msconfig and then disable "load startup items". Quicktime pisses me off. Wish I didn't need to use it at all.

What about on Win2k since msconfig ain't there no more (without regediting)?

Realplayer is the worst, full of spyware, junk and shit you don't need/want or will ever use.

as for win2k, i've heard people that actually copied the msconfig file and run it on the 2k systems.

they said it gives off a couple of errors on loading msconfig, but works otherwise.

there are also third party programs that will let u control startup.
