Bot protection
Ive been having trouble with my internet lately, so i ran spybot and about 15 things were detected. I fixed them all and my internet is working perfectly now. I was wondering is there a program like spybot that has an autoprotect feature. And if it does will it affect other cookies that you want, such as password savers.
Also, can you reccommend any good pop up stoppers. |

the ad-aware program from lavasoft can also scan your pc for spyware.
it also has an autoprotect feature, but it's only avaliable in the pro version (which is not free). http://www.lavasoft.nu/software/adawareprofessional/ check the link out for more info

What version of Spybot are you using ? Starting with Spybot version 1.2 there is an Immunity button that I have not had time to try yet. It's supposed to prevent certain known spyware from installing itself, or something like that.
As for popup blockers, I am trying to choose berween Popup Stopper from Panicware and Popup Manager from endpopups.com They both appear to catch most of the popups. |
