widescreen (16:9;1280x768) backgrounds
I have a widescreen lcd monitor and was wondering where I could find desktop backgrounds in this unique format, I just hate seeing stretched 1024x768 backgrounds.

I haven't found a really great place for this so I have ended up taking pictures that were equal to the width (and larger than the hieght) and cropping them. It is fine in most cases.

I don't have a specific web site to check, but perhaps a Mac-oriented wallpaper site will help. Many of the Macs use the widescreen format.

Rubicon is right. Mac websites will prolly have widescreen oriented wallpapers.
Yet the only good one I've found is MacDesktops . You can modify your preferences so you only see the size you want. Other Mac wallpaper sites I have been on are poorly organized or have little selection. Please post if you find more! |

I have photoshop and was wondering how I would go about cropping or trimming the image, instructions or links to instructions would be nice...
