Help with shrinking image size?
 

I need to get an image of 80x80 pixils under 5k. I save as jpg and gifs and i keep getting 10-15k. Any suggestions? Im using photoshop btw.

You might want to try fiddling with the quality settings and/or colour depth.

Another helpful tool to use is File -> Save for Web

It allows you to change various options regarding your image's quality and format while providing previews and estimated filesizes. Might be what you're looking for! :)

png might give better results than gif

if photoshops save for the web won't do it, not much will :)
