The day the computer died....and they were singing.....
It happened. After a year of hanging on my desktop is no more, unless my attempts at resuscitation suddenly decide to work. I am now on this ancient laptop that I didn't even know still worked.
Anyway, my question. Does anyone have a knowledgeable opinion on the all-in-one computers? The idea is perfect for me and my vision of a future wireless household. It's not a wireless computer, but it's getting closer. Any computer geeks with opinions, please offer them up. I'm not into online gaming, so I don't need the superfast. Thanks in advance. |
my father just got the all in one HP. He loves it.

I looked at one for my dad, as well. My only real criteria was a 24" or larger monitor for his elderly eyes. In that size, it was cheaper to buy them separately.
I do like the idea. |
Now I'm in the same league as TFPer's fathers.... :shakehead:
How do you play that WOW thing? |
 Oh, Grancey. You could totally play, and I'd bet you'd kick total ass, too.

Dunno your budget or anything, but you might take a hard look at an iMac. The basic one is still plenty powerful for most computing needs, especially if you're not a gamer (and it'll still play WoW plenty well). My wife just bought the slightly upgraded 21" model and has been very happy with it so far.

I'm 54, my dad is 83. |
Did not have to get a new computer. I decided to try installing a new power supply first, and it worked!! It seems there is some life left in this one. Saved a bundle. Thanks for the advice, all.

awesome! I will forward all tech support issues to you.
any small expense to keep tech working and not spend money on it is always a good thing. |
