What do you play/recommend on PS3??

My awesome SO Lala pulled the trigger on the ps3-320/Move last weekend. It's freakin' wicked!

We got a couple of games with it, Sports Champions came bundled with it (haven't opened it yet).

We also got:

MotorStorm Pacific Rift: kicks ass.

Shaun White Snowboarder: Just getting into it, so far I like Shawn Palmer on PS2 better, but White is growing on me.

Red Dead Redemption: Lala is getting into it, I haven't tried it yet.

Dragons Age - Origins Ultimate Edition: It's Origins, Awakening and all of the downloads. It's the first RPG I've ever liked. Considering that the last RPG I played was on a green screen Mac back in the 80's, and the graphics were all in my head. I'm not exactly a pro. But this game kicks ass.

What do you play and what do you recommend?

Sorry to be so cliche, your collection would be incomplete without one of the GTA games. There's nothing quite like stealing cars and killing random people! We've got this one, which I'd probably purchased due to the price, but the Ballad of Gay Tony is a blast!

Red Dead Redemption is awesome and so is Dragon Age.

I would also recommend God of War 3 and the remastered collection, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Uncharted 1 and 2, Bioshock 1 and 2, GT5, Metal Gear Solid 4, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Darkstalkers, Killzone 1 and 2, Demon's Souls, The Assassin's Creed games, Heavy Rain, Fallout 3....off the top of my head, I'm sure others can fill in the blanks.

Also, check reviews of said games to make sure they are in genres to your liking. Games like Demon's Souls are not for everyone.

I had my eye on Uncharted and Heavy Rain, glad to see they were mentioned.

When I use to play with my kids we played a lot of the Crash Bandicoot games before they went to all racing. I loved the different areas where you had to ride on the backs of polar bears and such. Anyone know of any similar to those out there for PS3?

Awesome... that's me!

One word. PAIN.

Super addictive and a complete, refreshing departure from all those FPS's:

Ratchet and Clank for PS3 is made by the same guys that made Crash Bandicoot. You and your kids would love it. They're also great games.

Played alot of Ratchet & Clank on PS2. These were fun (except for boss battles - this concept is tired and needs to go away from video games). I haven't seen the PS3 version though.

It is very much a lot of fun. Reminds me of Worms Armageddon or Angry Birds in concept.

I even managed to get my son to stop playing the repetitively similar Fallout games in favour of Pain.

Very highly recommend the call of duty series!

You can find call of duty 3, & world at war used and dirt cheap.

Hoping santa hooks me up with black ops.

Thanks for the tip Leto, we downloaded the "Pain" game from the playstation store this weekend and played for hours! I figured I'd like it from the video, and from the similarity to Angry Birds. It is a great game!! ... do you know if there is a way to unlock all the extras without having to buy them? We've unlocked some of them, just not sure if the other stuff will unlock eventually or not.

Thanks again

What he said.

I just got GT5 to add to that list. Assassins Creed wasn't for me, 1st one had no trophies and I'm a trophy whore, oh and, lack of subtitles. I like to listen to music when I game, I mean I can only listen to so much game sounds and music before I'm tired of it.'

PSN suggestions, Scott Pilgrim, Castle Crashers, Pac-Man extreme edition or whatever it's called, Fat princess, and Burnout Paradise were all worth the money imo.

Glad you liked it! I did a cursory search for Pain unlocks which yielded these sites:

PAIN Cheats and Cheat Codes, PlayStation 3

PAIN for PlayStation 3 Cheats - PAIN Codes - PAIN Cheat Codes, FAQs, Walk-Throughs, Hints

and some videos:

Google

Hope this helps.
