Mandrake 9 boot disk
Now im a complete and utter n00bie when it comes to linux, my friend recomended Mandrake as a start off so im gonna go with it
he also suggested i install it onto my secondary Hard Drive.. so ill need a boot disk for it, i havent the sligest clue where to find it if anyone could help me i would be muchly greatful Cheers.. |
When you install it you will have the option of creating a boot disk ;)
Ask your friend why you can't use LILO though. You should be able to install it on your secondary HD and set up LILO to boot it from there at the times you choose to boot into Linux. |
LILO will have to be on the first disk (on MBR), but it shouldn't matter where Linux itself is.
