firefox problem
Hey, i' musing firefox 3.5.1 on an xp machine with sp3, and i am having this flashing bar that pops up beside images or in text or anywhere i click that isn't a link. It's 'kinda' like a bar you'd see if you were editing a page and i can't figure out where it came from or why it is there. It's no big deal, but if i click my pagedown on my mouse, then it screws up and goes to where ever te flashing bar is..which is often not where i wanna be.
any ideas? i've reinstalled it, taken out te add-ons and put htem back in one at a time, nothign seems to help. thanks |
Sounds pretty weird. Are you using an add-on or custom theme?
Also, there are some add-ons that don't uninstall properly, so even if you disable them, there will be traces left behind. Have you tried creating a new profile? Ooh, wait a minute. Perhaps you turned on Caret Browsing? Try hitting F7 to turn it off. |
DUUUUUUUDE, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!! Caret browsing was on and it was driving me innnsane. I haven't had this computer on for 2 yrs bc of a network issue and it was just easier to use my laptop, so i got a ddwrt router and plugged her in adn turned her on..then forgot how much i LOVE my desktop for the gfx card adn games....and i appaerntly set something down on the keyboard and i remember seeing something in firefox about pressing F7.
so now i know. thanks again. |
