Slideshow Program Recommendations

I would like to put together a slideshow of family pictures with sound and some animations. Does anyone have any program recommendations??

Thanx

As much as I loathe to suggest it after having seen billions of Powerpoints because of school what you're asking for seems like it could be done fairly easily in power point.

iPhoto.....while overkill PP would do the job.

Thanx for the input. I was trying to find a program for the PC like iphoto for the Mac. But wouldn't cost an arm and a leg either.

Irfan View. Download free from Tucows. Has SlideShow. Easy to use with great results.

You could build one with spare parts from windows and Microsoft office.... thousands of objects....if you know what you are doing, they fit together like leggo's. Not that hard really....

my suggestion was going to be Macromedia's Director and it really isn't that hard to find (free) and it is a really intuitive as to how to program it.

but if you would like to do it legally I can't help you cause PP would be the absolutely last thing I would suggest.

However if a free alternative to PP, I'd suggest OpenOffice by Sun Microsystems, it has a PP type app, but I don't have any experience with it myself.

good luck.

ACDSEE on line for a free try out...I think the program is about $20 if you wish to keep it. It gives you adjustable size thumprints as well as a few different formats for slide shows...Power Point is the best in my opinion, allowing music, videos, and real easy to customize...I use it in Real Estate Presentations all the time (Looks real Professional & Impressive)

I like RealSlideshow from the RealPlayer folks. You can import MP3s and decide how long the slides will appear on screen
