losing space
i have a desktop computer, and slowly month by month i am running out of room, i have a 20 gig hard drive for C: and a 120 gig for storage, now as it sits right now i have a whopping 898 MB left on the 20, my question to all of you is, if i go buy a new drive is there a way to copy over my 20 gig making the new drive the new master, and have it work like nothing has changed or do i have to go thru the B.S. of doing it all over again (i hate doing that)
any help would be GREAT... thanx -mike- |

I guess the easiest way would be to keep the 20 GB as the boot drive. Maybe clear some stuff off of it. Then set a new drive as a slave. But I really recommend against that as a new drive is going to probably be faster than your old 20 GB drive. Also, that 20 GB drive has to be pretty old so it's not going to last for ever. I'm not sure what the answer would be as far as cloning the contents of the 20 to a new drive. Maybe Ghost. Honestly, for a lot of reasons, I would just get a new drive and install Windows to it. Then pull whatever docs/music/apps/pics/files off of the 20 GB and retire it. Good luck!
