Linux software equivalents

So I finally took the leap and made the switch over to Linux the other day. What convinced me was when I discovered OpenOffice.org -- I realized that there were, in fact, applications that could match the functionality of their Windows equivalents. Here's what I've learned so far:

Microsoft Office -> OpenOffice.org
Windows Media -> MPlayer
Microsoft Outlook -> Evolution

Two things I'm still really looking for are a good file-sharing program like Kazaa and a replacement for Microsoft Money--Gnucash doesn't have budgeting capabilities.

What else have you found out there in free software land that matches the capabilities of M$ software?

An obvious one would be:
winamp -> xmms

gnutella is a pretty good kazaa replacement, but I still find kazaa on my windows box has a better selection. gnutella is just as good as kazaa in technology, but the network of users is not as big.

There are a billion gnutella clients out there, depending on your preference for gui, command lines, or your preferred windowing system. I'm sure you can google for it and find one you like.

Also, for gaming on your Linux box you can't beat MAME and a few hundred classic arcade games.

I'm trying out eDonkey right now. I love the interface, but it seems to be awfully slow. I don't get nearly the download speeds I got from Kazaa with windows. Am I doing something wrong or is it just a lack of users?

Forget eDonkey, how about lMule, the eMule port for Linux!

As far as it being slow, what you need to do is not use the search function. It's slow. Sometimes it's ok but there are FAR better ways to go. Here are some sites to start out with:

www.sharereactor.com
www.filenexus.org
www.musicdonkey.net
www.musicdonkey.org

There are some more but those are the 4 main ones that I use.

And for server lists check out ocbmaurice.dyndns.org

(Sorry if some of the links don't work - I'm typing these from memory because I'm not at my own computer right now.)

I have to admit that I'm still mainly in Windows land when it comes to the desktop. All my servers are Linux based.

What I do is run one machine (currently a Debian box), and use CYGWIN and XDMCP to get a remote desktop on my Windows machines. It works fairly well.
