Troubleshooting - No sound & Sound Card
I suddenly have no sound, from speakers or headphones. I don't know where to start. Everything is plugged in tight, I have tried speakers on another pc and they worked fine. No new hardware or software. What next? XP home edition.

Check your volume controls. They're in the control panel under the 'Sound' options. Make sure the sliders are up and it isn't muted.
If that doesn't solve it my next step would be to check the hardware manager for any problems.
