When I first got dsl, I got the 768 kbps package. I like that the speed has doubled and they haven't raised the price. :D

And yet, somehow, inexplicably.. my home connection "feels" faster. It's an interesting thing to note that my ping is 1/3 of my work connection, even if the connection itself only supports half the bandwidth.

meh closest test was el paso which is 280 miles or so away, i dont know if that makes a difference or not

I recently changed providers and because I'm on a dry loop and they couldn't test my line, they decided that I'd have to start with the low (1mbps) tier service and upgrade once I was connected. Tomorrow I get my 7mbps connection. For now, I get this:

EDIT #2 - Broadband ftw! Given that my connection is theoretically 7mbps down/ 768kbps up, this would appear to be the physical limit my line is capable of supporting:
