Stupid computer tricks
When you first see it you may think it's cool but I see it as nothing more than a dumb gimmick for two reasons. 1. Your monitor would end up smudged and need continual cleaning.Ultimately it's nothing more than a pain in the ass way of working with virtual desktops. It also looks like some kind of crap Apple would bundle with their next OS but I see it's running on a linux box which is just sad if you ask me.

While the cube itself is nothing more than eye-candy, I cannot live without virtual desktops. I have virtual desktops in my 'doze laptop and wish it was as handy as the linux version- you know, have the ability to send applications to other desktops, instead of having to open and close them.
If anyone else wants virtual desktops on their Windows, check out my post here. Spoiler: //knocks microphone over// "Fuck

However, I do agree with you, the touchscreen thing on a desktop is pretty useless, I'd rather use my keyboard and mouse any day. However, virtual desktops are cool, and I might put that on Vista (if it works on Vista). And yeah, bad whistling FTL.
