as a complete 'puter dummie...is it possible to get a youtube post to start automaticely.....I post music with some of my Tilted Titties threads but the viewer has to start and minimize the youtube music before going on...can I make the music start by itself?....

I don't use YouTube, therefore I don't know if this will actually work for you.

The non-technical answer is that yes you can do it, so long as you can look at a block of HTML and not totally space out. I won't bother walking through the process, but basically all you have to do is add an argument in two spots in the embed code (which you can copy and paste off the video page). Personally though, I think you'd do better just to embed the video and let people start it themselves; I hate autoplayed media with a passion.

Also, if it's just the music and not the video you want, have you considered using seeqpod instead? Consider this:

I work with a tabbed browser, and often have 15 TFP threads open in different tabs. If two of them start playing music simultaneously, it sounds perfectly awful. Also, I want to choose if I get music or not.

Just put the music link at the top and say "Click here for appropriate music" or something.

Agreed. When I open a web page that starts playing noises at me, my instant snap reflex is to close the window. It's a race between my mouse heading for the close button and my left hand mashing command-W.

It's a true reflex: the nerve impulses don't even reach my brain, it comes straight from my ears right down my spinal column.
