Hard drive question
So I have this old PC that I don't really use anymore but it has a pretty good storage capacity (and it has all my old CD's I didn't feel like ripping onto this laptop). I was wondering if there's anyway I can make use out of the other hard drive? I would like some more room for programs on my laptop but a large amount of the space is being taken up by music. Anyway I could just store all my music onto the other (PC) hard drive and maybe just use it as an external hard drive?

don't spend more than $50 for one either. An external hard drive casing is not much more than these three things:
1) An IDE or SATA connection for your hard drive (you probably have a IDE connection since you mentioned it is an older computer) 2) Power 3) Either a metal or plastic shell/case Thats all there really is to it. Don't spend extra for any other features as they really are pretty much the same.

Thanks a lot for the answers, I'll end up getting the casing by the end of the week probably. If I have any other questions I'll be sure to ask/send a message to one of you.
Thanks again
