RingTones
hey everyone. I just got myself a new phone last week and now that I got an sd card, i can put more ringtones in. the ones that came with the phone weren't that great. so i'm wondering if theres some AWESOME sites where i can get FREE ringtones for my phone or what your favorite ringtones are. I'm looking for something cool; not too crazy but also not just a song.
right now, I'm thinking of going with the Crank cellphone sound just because it sounds really cool.

This new phone, does it come with a data cable? If so, you can cut your own ringtones out of your favorite MP3s and use those. In my experience ringtones that are offered for free suck major ass. However, if you are looking for some awesome polyphonic ringtones (not MP3), hit me on on Private Message - I know a secret.

FWIW, I've got a 1st gen Samsung Blackjack w/data cable and bigass giganto MicroSD card. I routinely swap other date between it and my PC, so I'm not totally blind on this - just the "making ringtones" part. Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?

Before you start fiddling with sound files, check to see that your phone will play MP3 ringtones. Then check to see if you have a way to transfer files
You take a sound file and edit it down to the 15 or so seconds you like best. I use soundedit on an SGI/IRIX, but there are similar things for Macs & Linux. I have no idea about Windows, but i would assume that there's something out there you could use. If your file isn't an MP3 already, you need to convert your output to MP3. I upload via Bluetooth, which may or may not be an option for you. |

Anyone find any sites with actual ringing sounds on it? I'm getting sick of all these MP3's on my phone. It didn't come with just a standard ringing sound, which I'd really like. I'm having no luck finding any. Can anyone help?
