Another computer question.
Hi all. I have a second computer with a problem. It's a Gigabyte GA-7n400 N-Force 2 Mobo. Just get a one second beep at boot then 3 seconds of silence then a one second beep, just continues endlessly. No vid. The computer has two sticks of RAM so I tried removing one at a time. Tried removing all hard/optical drives, tried clearing CMOS, can't get into BIOS. I think either Vid Card, CPU, PS, or MoBo. Any ideas? Thanks!

unplug your PS from the motherboard, then remove the CMOS battery for 10 minutes.
If that doesn't work, toss the vid card in another machine to test it. Continuous beeping usually means 1 of 3 things - bad memory, bad vid card, or bad motherboard. |
I totally agree with what shakran said. Try that and let us know what you come up with.

Still troubleshooting. But thanks for the help.
Still no-go. |
what shakran said is completely true. If your troubleshooting has uncovered that the video card is actually working properly and the memory as well, then toss the Mobo and get a new one.
