Windows Media 11

also SUCKS!!!

nothing but spam for URGE... you have to dig for the file/tool/options tabs and in my op it's just another way for MacroHard to collect your viewing info for more advertising

just so you know...
Quote:
Protected content cannot play if Windows Media Player 10 is installed on a computer that already has a beta version the Windows Media Format 11 Runtime installed
Content that is protected with media usage rights cannot be played in Windows Media Player 10 if a computer already has a beta version of the Windows Media Format 11 Runtime installed (which is installed with beta versions of Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP). In some situations, Windows Media Player 10 may quit unexpectedly when trying to play protected content and licenses for protected content might be lost.

To work around this issue, do one or more of the following, and then try to play protected content in Windows Media Player:
If you install Windows Media Player 10 on a computer that already has a beta version of Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP installed, you cannot use Windows Media Player 10 to play protected content until you roll back from Windows Media Player 11 to Windows Media Player 10 by doing the following:
Disconnect any portable music or video devices that might be attached to your computer.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
In the Category View of Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Remove a program.
Click Windows Media Player 11, and then click Remove.
In each of the two confirmation dialog boxes that appear, click OK.
When the rollback process is complete (it might take several minutes), click Restart.
Note Do not uninstall the Windows Media Format 11 Runtime.

Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet and play your protected content or visit the URGE online music store in Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP before you roll back to Windows Media Player 10. This can help to prevent licenses for protected content from being lost.
Install the final released version of Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP and play protected content in Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP.

This issue should not occur if the final released version of Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP is installed on your computer. This is because Windows Media Player 10 cannot be installed if the released version of the Windows Media Format 11 Runtime is already installed (The runtime is installed with the final released version of Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP).
i truely hope you all are having a better day than i am...

Yeah, I couldn't agree more but it looks so much better in black.

Been using it for about three months and on ballance I think it's significantly better than 10.

It loads the databse faster, so takes less time to boot, and it burns CDs that lways play in the car (as long as I use cheap Tesco supermarket brand media rather than more expensive Maxell brand) - WMP 10 made about 30% coasters.

Overall, I'm happy.

And it's better in black.

It's pretty, but in general, I have no particular use for it.

I downloaded it to stream content to my 360, but now that I've found Tversity, which does a phenomenally better job, by the way, I haven't used WMP 11 at all.

I don't use Media Player for anything except occasional DVD playing. I'm just fiddling with Vista and MP11 right now and I must admit the URGE crap during setup is irritating.

They have a stranglehold on home Operating systems and I wish they would stop with all the other crap.

MS screwed all the "Play For Sure" partners with the Zune launch...

I know our company isn't all that happy since Urge was developed by us and the Zune store is all the backend from Urge. Thanks for doing all the heavy lifting!

I like the crossfading feature. Pink Floyd's The Wall plays like it is supposed to now.
