QuickTime Issue
I downloaded the new Harry Potter trailer for my daughter from IGN (link) in the QuickTime format. However, when I tried to play the video it was a green screen (although audio worked fine).
Here is a screen grab: ![]() I am on Windows XP (SP2) and have downloaded the most recent QuickTime available from the Apple website. To my knowledge, all video codecs are updated ... but if that may be the case, could someone give me simple instructions on how to update QuickTime codecs?

My brother has Windows 2000 Pro installed on his system and has a similar problem where the first quicktime video plays ok but the second displays a green screen while the audio plays ok. I did a google search for 'quicktime "green screen"' and found a couple references pointing at a problem with video drivers or the O/S. The recommendation that worked for my brother was to open the settings tab for display properties, click advanced, click the troubleshooting tab and lower the acceleration slider until video worked. It worked for him after he got as far as turning off direct draw support.
