Linux prob
I'm new to linux and I have a problem. I am using Mandriva and I cant seem to get streaming video to work. For some reason I spent countless hours on www.steakandcheese.com when I had windows installed. But my computer crashed again so I decided to get linux. I am moving along quite well except for the video problem.

We'll need some more to go on than that.
What browser are you using? What distro? What sort of videos are they? What happens when you try to view them? I've found the state of browser plugins on Linux to be somewhat laggy compared to Windows. When I was exclusively using Linux, I got good with finding the URL of the video in the page source and playing it using mplayer. There's no video mplayer can't handle (or darn near no video), but it's not a browser plugin, it's a standalone app. |
