Leave a domain, keep account
Hi all...
well I'm having this problem. I'm using windows xp pro on a domain right now, but I need to leave the domain but keep my account. Is there a way to do this? I really don't want to have to redo all of my settings, etc. |
No, not directly, what you can do is creating a new account, and then copy the old account to the new account. Or you can just not disassociate your self, and continue to use the cached credentials when you’re not on the network with the domain.

What will I lose by simply creating a new user and copying all the files?

nothing really, just your user name and domain status.
