IIRC, ebay's current service only increments your bid when someone outbids you. I think these other programs allow you to schedule a bid for a certain amount at a certain time, so you can try to snatch away the high bid at the last moment. Seems kind of sneaky, but that's what I try to do manually when I'm trying to win an item!

i know this thread is a little bit old, but i'm looking to buy a few things off ebay in the quite near future, and was curious if anyone has any recent suggestions for software. so far, yotta has put up jbidwatcher. any others?
