Convert Powerpoint to Web HTML
Besides Powerpoints built-in conversion program (Which adhere's to no known standards) Can anyone suggest a program that they have experiance using that has produced results they found satisfactory?
I offered to convert some presentations for my Fiance's architecture class for a competition and have not been happy with the programs google has been producing. I'm trying to use PPT2HTML and it has some potential with the time intensive creation of a suitable template and then modifying the file after generation to be more standards compliant. What if anything have you used or had recomended to you? |
Take individual pictures of each slide and make a slide show :)

I have used the textpad "search and replace" to clean up this kind of slideshow (doing lots of search for "string" and replace with ""). |
i generally just PDF the slides and do it that way... although for a competition i'd guess there is a need to retain more of the shows actual flow instead of just making a web re-producable distribution of the content.

I'm interested in finding out how WebCT converts powerpoints to web version. They do it so neatly

The only program I've ever used that produced what I thought were satisfactory results is called Articulate. It makes flash files out of ppt shows. Unfortuneately, it is prohibitivly expensive for what you want. You might, however, be able to find a local web shop with a copy of the program that will do what you want reasonably cheap.
If this does interest you, I can send you the email address of I guy I know in Memphis who does that sort of thing for St. Jude and area businesses/churches. I don't know what he'd charge, though. |
