How to use Multi-Quote feature on V-bulletin
I have a confession. I have been here for over 6 years and ive never used the multi-quote feature. i cant say that ive tried recently, but some years ago i tried and it didnt work.
So how does the multi-quote feature work and how do you use it? can anyone shed some light? [im sure im not the only one here that has this question, but for the greater good of the community, ill ask it anyways ;) ] |
I've never figured it out either. Here I just quote a post, respond and submit. Then do it again, quote a post, respond and submit. It just adds it to the same post if no one has responded between my responses. But yeah, I'm with you. There's a button, how do I use it??

Hit the the quote+ button first, for the quoted posts you'd like to feature first, and then it should highlight itself; you can continue multi-quoting posts by clicking the very same quote+ button (the second "quote" button, to the immediate left of the quick reply icon) as many times as you'd like, and the quoted messages will appear in the very same order in which you selected them. Afterwards, once you are through selecting your quotes, you save the very last quoted reply, which should then be selected by the regular method of clicking the familiar quote button. Et voila!
or... e.g. 1. (start) quote+-clicked this post Quote:

Awesome. I'll admit I never bothered to learn how to use this feature either.

I love it and used it from the first time I saw it. It's vbulletin goodness.

ok another question regarding the multi-quote feature...
can you use it to quote from other threads? like if i wanted to quote a particular user who had posted in different threads, is this possible? |
yes it used to work that way. I'm not sure if that was a feature or a bug.

Nice.
Now how do you quote a specific part of a post, not just the whole thing? And what are all the funky Icons at the top of the message box. Not the standard formatting tools on the left, but the goodies to the right of the indent tool? |

The things you learn when insomnia hits. Excellent.
