Video Chat Malware
Just as a heads up, one of the ads in the video chat, which one I can't be certain, opened a new tab in my browser and set off a chain of nasty malware. I THINK I've almost got everything back to normal, with the main culprit being this fucking smitfraud-c, which I had to run Spybot, SuperAntiSpyware, smitfraudfix, and combofix just to get to where I am right now.
I'm going to have to do some more checks tomorrow with Hijack this and see if someone can look things over with me. The video chat was the only new page I had been to, and the only area that adblock plus did not completely cut out ads/popups for since I first began using it. |
