2 issues!
I read the latest post in a thread and it still shows up as bold. This has only begun happening today. Specifically, the "how does it feel when you're drunk" thread.... and a few others.
Also, when someone has put me on their journal as able to view their private post, I am not able to comment - says I do not have permission to view that page. And I confirmed that I was allowed to view with the individual. It's happened with 2 different journals, and it's been a bug for a couple months, anyway. Thoughts?

I'm not sure about your bolding problem, but as far as the journals go, the user needs to make sure that your user number is in their list, not your name. For instance if you click on JustJess; you'll see
http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/member.php?u=75145 they need to put in the number at the end in order for you to be able to view/comment. At least I think that's how it works now.. maybe an admin can stop in here and clarify. |

yup. they need to either add you as a "journal buddy" (User CP > Miscellaneous > Buddy/Ignore Lists) or use your user ID number.
That said, I've never tried commenting on a private entry, so I don't know for a fact that this is not a problem even when things are done 100% properly.

In any case, can't that be automated? Meaning if I set JustJess as a Journal Buddy she can both view and comment, without the extra needed step of looking up user number? Just wondering really.. thanks

^^^ What he said! Sheesh, it seems kind of obvious that if you add a person as a journal buddy, you want them to be able to comment as well.
As for the read threads not becoming unbolded... it's still an issue. It's weird. Does no one care???

It's not that no one cares, it's just that it's really complicated for anyone here to try and fix it

Please, please, coding gods of TFP: please fix private journal entries. Please. I had yet more issues with this - a private entry that I added people to that no one could click on, and not being able to comment on someone else's private entry even tho they want me to be able to.
PLEASE??

Regarding access, it should be noted that you can't edit who has access after posting the entry. It needs to be done at the same time as posting, so if you want to change access you need to repost the entire entry with the changes.
