Minimizing pics to attach on photo board
Hey...what do you know about minimizing pictures? I want to post some of my trip here, but they are too many bits. Not by much though, only like 50,000 bits more than what is allowed. I don't have Photoshop, so I can't mess around there..., any ideas?
BTW...they are .zip files. if that makes a difference |
dunno for sure, i use photoshop...
but there's got to be some freeware image resizer that works decent. you need *just* a resizer, or more of an image-manage prog? for the latter, i've heard good things about IrfanView. .zip files are an allowed attatchment? cool. doesn't really matter tho, in this case, the compression is in the jpeg, not the zip. |
are you talking for an image post or for your avitar?
image posts are unlimited, within the realm of good taste and consideration for slower modems. avitars are pretty strict, try photoshop for that. |
U could use irfanview at http://www.irfanview.com/ a very good freeware about picture processing. U can both resize and compresse Ur images (jpeg for big images, gif for images with few colors).
