(second) language forum
 

It seems like it would be really interesting to have a forum dedicated to learning/comparing languages. I'm learning chinese and japanese right now, with a few years of spanish under my belt mostly forgotten. Kind of like the programming forums and such, could post problems here, get help with homework, help understanding customs/dialects/word connotations.
Since X language may not have a large enough base, just a general forum of all languages would be cool to start. I thought about posting Qs in the Asia forum, but it doesn't really seem like the right place.. The Region forums seem pretty empty anyway..
Judging by the seemingly very literate members posting on the board, I would guess there are quite a few people with second or third languages as well.

I'd definetly follow a thread that talks about other languages. I am very interested in japanese (I know a bit because of karate).

Well...normally things like getting help with homework, help understanding customs/dialects/word connotations etc would belong in the Tilted Knowledge area but I'd be thrilled about a special section of languages as well!

Start posting. If there are enough threads to justify it, we'll make another forum.

i think that's a good idea.it is quite interesting to talk in other languages.a frnch forum would be cool!

Hey...great idea....Im always looking for ways to say different phrases...so forums for specific languages would be great...count me as a participant, not that I can contribute...I only know english....I'll sure bug the heck out of some people :thumbsup:
