Titled Religion
 

It seems to me that 70% of Philosophy is about christianity... Why not just seperate it from Philosophy, it is very good for long and intelligent discussions.

Religion is mostly philosophy, you really can't have one without the other.

The second you start a religion based thread, you will get bogged down into so much argument! There will never be a solution to this until either the ill-fated "missing link" is actually found (yeah, right) or conclusive evidence of God's existence is given (yeah, right) (at which point God will cease to exist due to the evidence, if you believe Douglas Adams..!)

The point is I feel that this would be very well used, but a complete headache for the mods. Religion seems to bring out the best and worst, and certainly the most defensive sides of people on both sides.

But doesn't that represent what, at least what i think, this site is about, deep and meaningful conversation with a laugh here or there. With a thread for religion people could get some good discussions going...

There are already discussions of religion in Tilted Philosophy and, for the most part, they aren't really the headache that you say they would be.

This is something that has been discussed among the TFP mods and, for now, the decision is that the discussions will remain in Tilted Philosophy.

funny thing, i just went looking for a titled religion. i guess i'll go to philosophy.
