Tags in Off The Wayside
 

just a small suggestion: tags like on the Titty board to identify the type of post in off the wayside, so if its bondage, pee, or whatever else is in there, it can easily be seen by the graphic

maybe reading the titles might help..
though, i dont see why tags would be soo hard to impliment. except for one problem. Some things in that forum cannot be explained. You cant easily classify things in OTW. That is why it's there and not on the tittyboard for the squeemish folks to balk at. This could be the real reason why tags have never been introduced to OTW. Try reading the titles of the threads and remember you're talking a risk looking at things in there anyway :)

Yeah, the titles are usually pretty good about giving you some idea. Or the titles are intentionally ambiguous and wouldn't use a tag even if they could.

kinda like the ones in TB, but ones like "Latex" or "Bondage" or "Piss" or something like this.

Threads are labled really bad in there.

Here is an example and i dont mean to pick on the poster.

"Cheap date....suprise ending" <- Tranny Post.

Tag would really help out.

It'd be a good idea, but 1) I do believe it takes time to implement it into the code for the board, and there are other things that are being dealt with as well, so who knows where it would lie in priorities, and 2) we'd certainly need volunteers to make the tags.

i'll volunteer to make the tags.

Well, put your photoshop where your mouth is and then maybe Halx can start considering it. Until then, nothing can even be discussed.

That's what I would recommend personally. And hentai alerady has a tag from the TB that can be used.

wow, talk about a suggestion post coming back from the middle of nowhere :) .... And yes, i still think there should be tags for the posts that can be easily identified. If they can't be tagged then the poster should have the responsibility of labeling their post apropriatly.

tags would be wonderful, i completely agree. i'd prefer to avoid certain "areas" :)

I think Tags would detract from OTW. Many times you put a tag on a post and it pigeonholes it a certain post. You go to OTW to see different things. If you click a post and you see you don't like it by the title, the back button is readily available.

I think tags would take away something from OTW. Part of the "fun" is getting ready to click on an unknown and gritting your teeth, waiting to see if you are going to be repulsed, shocked, scared, or just plain titttylated. If people can't hack it then maybe OTW isn't where they should be.

OTW is a special place, where the usual, everyday conventions don't apply. It is sort of like the area I live in. They want to put up a freekin' road sign every two feet. Tags are signs. It is a mistake to think that signs can control or modify behavior. If you have tags, and someone doesn't use them, then what do you do - ban them? This is not good for OTW.

Would I like it if I could wave a magic wand and be sure that 100% of tranny posts would have a "tranny" tag? sure, but I am not going to fool myself into thinking that a tag can protect me from everything/anything. Maybe it is good for people to see new things and things they don't like.
