this seems like a pretty simple idea and seemed at the same time pretty practical... so here goes.

in the TFP IRC chat mods can usually be counted on the be there to answer questions. however, when the chat's going fast, the questions tend to get lost in the stream. Therefore, I suggest a chan that only mods would stay in and people would join only for quick questions. That way, they'd be ensured that ONE OF the mods would be around, rather than picking one and PMing, and their request wouldn't get lost in the conversation.

*shrug* seemed like a decent idea. I'd suggest #tfphelp as the chan name.

IMHO I already have alot of IRC and other windows open. A person looking for a mod should just click voiced mod's name and send a message directly to the individual that is there.

i just fo into #tfp and go "i need a mod" and they magically apear to serve me

But which mod do you hit and say I got the message and dealt with it but you then check it out when you get to it you would have wasted your time.

While I don't see this as a big issue I would have no problem hanging around another channel.
