X people viewing Y - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I've noticed that on a lot of other forums i visit that they show the number of people in each sub-forum. It's just right beside the name of the sub-forums. I personally think it would be a cool feature...is it possible?

yeah keep it out, think of the lag on teh titty board, it would have to ping like 500 people who are viewing the thread...

it works well on small boards, just not here
