I was thinking it would be pretty cool to have a map of the US on which people could somehow show their location, be it little, hyperlinked dots or what. It would allow for people from here meeting each other if wanted and connecting.

heh, get some web space, make a image of the United States or the world. We'll all email you with where we live. You can update it and we'll have a big happy location map!!

well... that wouldn't be very nice at all. The best we can do is to just look at what everyone puts down as their Location in their profile. Besides, if you don't want to talk to them on the boards, why would you want to talk to them in real life?

You have also missed one other point - if you did create a map, it would have to be a world map - I'm in the UK, and I'm sure there are a lot of people in here from many different countries. This would be sooo much work!

As Spleen said, if you are offering to do it...

No no no, I thought the whole point of the suggestions for was new ideas on how to use Halx's space, not MINE!!!
Anyways, we'll just use a map of the USA and then put a big circle in the top left corner that says "other places" and you foreigners can put your names there, mkay?
