Computer Board Suggestion: Sticky Teams

This is all about stuff in the Computer Forum...

There's a sticky notice for TFP's Folding@Home Team. At the top of the message board (currently) there is another message for Project Dolphin (The TFP Team). There's an older thread talking about a TFP Team for Seti@Home. I'm guessing other competitions will pop up on the board. What I was wondering is if it would make sense to have a sticky notice that has a message that links to the TFP Teams for all the projects, instead of having just one for Folding and letting the others just fall into obscurity when newbies might join or be interested.

I realise Folding would be in direct competition with something like SETI, but at least the users have an equal choice to use their spare CPU time (or keystrokes, or whatever) on all the projects.

I just noticed (before I read this thread) that the Folding thread is stickied and the SETI one is not. This makes it seem like TFP is endorsing the Folding project over SETI and the others. It doesn't really make any difference to me as I've read both of them and I chose to donate my cycles to SETI as I understand and am excited about what SETI is trying to do even though I feel results are more likely with the Folding project. I agree with Latch that maybe we should have a single point for newbies to see all the stuff that TFPers are doing and decide for themselves.

If TFP is endorsing Folding over the others than ignore this as the rantings of a lunatic. I only do what the voices tell me to and they told me to post.

Now I'm trying a personal challenge. Can I hack something together that will run both Folding and SETI at once in scrensaver mode? I'll update you as I destroy my computer trying to do it
