Link Colors

The color used for unclicked links is too close to the plain text color, and the decoration is set to "none", so you don't get an underline. Net effect, it's hard to see at a glance what's link and what's text.

I suggest changing either the color, or the underline state of links in the stylesheet included on each page.

just for reference, which forum style are you using, ratbastid? I'm not sayin' anythings gonna change, but it'd be useful info ;)

I'm using Dark Cloud, though I noticed it with the default flava' too.

testing something... (*it didn't work*)

I am using Dark Cloud and had previously used the default. I don't think either had text underlining and the link color was really close to text color on both. I perfer underlining. It may not be ultra pretty, but it gets the message across and is the standard method of indicating that something is a link. It is possible to underline links manually, but a bit of a pain. If people really hate their links underlined, they can just get their browser to not underline the links.

I would suggest removing any settings that change the link decoration. The user's default would then take over.

yeah...I don't like the link color too...too hard to see and I get PM's asking where the link IS...and I gotta tell him/her where the link is located in my post...gets annoying if you get too many PM's about a link...just my $0.02...THANX
C'YA ?:-D

Links are *very* difficult to find in Dark Cloud.... i'd really like to see it changed, if at all possible...

Redlemon 11-07-2003 10:22 AM

Adds support for this idea. I use Sandstorm, which has the most contrast between regular text and links, but it is still difficult to find the links unless you know that they are there.

i was gonna suggest this too... for now i think i'm going to start using the following workaround ... LINK >>> a cool site called google <<< LINK or just leave the address... at least it's recognizable then

oldtimer 07-01-2004 06:30 AM

Yes! I strongly agree. It is murder to find/differentiate a link especially in PM's!
