Rating system in other forums. - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

In the titty board we have ratings for threads. I've been thinking this could be used in the Music and Entertainment forums as well.

Members will do a review of a movie or albums that just came out. Could we use that same rating system for others to rate that same movie and/or CD? I guess the best way to do it would be to have the author of the thread turn it on. Is that possible? I think it would add something fun to those forums.

I think the main reason it's not been done in the past before, is because unlike the titty board, we actually expect and want dicussion in the Music and Entertainment threads... we know that there isn't going to be any discussion in the titty board.

I think the main concern is that it would reduce posting, as some will simply give their rating and not even post how they feel about it. That's part of the reason polls don't always go over well... people press the button and move on.

Not a bad idea in general, we'll see how others feel about it.
