The TFP Charter
Initial curiousity. Thinking to yourself 'what's this forum about ?!' Intrigue.
When I was registered on the tfp, I knew a bit of what this place was about, but I still wasn't sure. After reading Halx's original manifesto, I left an impression in me, that with all of the different dialogues and topics across the different forums, there still was a core section: The coming together - (correct me if I'm wrong, it was for the genders to be understand each other and go beyond, or evolve, with Androgyny). With the section being gone (as determined by the lack of participation - correct me if I'm wrong) and the discussion going on in a certain thread http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?p=2105326 (which, may not be accesible to those who haven't posted much on here and not yet been cleared by admins), we should come together to terms, (both individually and collectively) to reflect and discuss what the direction of the TFP should be. So, there's a couple questions that come to mind: - Does there need to be a core ideal, (similar to 'Coming Together') on the TFP at all ? Will the direction of the TFP be lost without one ? - What is the goal of the TFP ? A specific mission ? Sure, a lot of us come here to talk about various topics across the spectrum, but should there be a specific frame of reference for the TFP ? - What should this core ideal/philosophy be ? Should 'coming together' be restablished ? Although I think these may seem like no-brainer questions with obvious answers to some people, I think they need to be asked so that members of the TFP are on the same page for discussing the evolution and direction of the TFP. (By same page, I mean a user asking 'how did this come to consensus ?! I didn't remember reading about this') Secondly, by asking these fundamental questions, it's easier for others to contribute because it prevents people from assuming that certain decisions were already made. Definitely feel free to comment or ask questions if I was or was not too clear on what I was trying to go about. (I'm finding it a bit of a trouble to put into words what I have in my head right now). (The beginning was an attempt to put my experience when I first found the TFP). Catcha back on the flipside, keyshawn
