TFP Bowl Playoffs Week Two - Discussion Thread
Now that the pick thread week 2 is closed, let's discuss the divisional round.
I will post the winners of this round after the games on Sunday. Also, I received the following PM from cross-over: Quote:

I agree that GH's opinion should carry the most weight.
After that fiasco in Denver last night, I've got to tip my cap to max-v, and wish the best of luck to the rest of the survivors. It's been a lot of fun! Thanks again, dylanmarsh. (M.V.P! M.V.P!)

I'm not sure what the issue with cross-over's picks are, but leave GH out of it. He has no choice but to be the "better burger" and let the picks in, no matter how it affects him (and even though I post this with only one game left, I don't know how either picked when I wrote this.) I'll be the ass and say look at the rules as they are posted.

Well, Carolina saved my bacon this week. Present and I disagreed only on that game.
I turned off the Colts/Steelers when there was an interception in the fourth quarter and started playing Nintendo with my son. I had no clue that the call was overturned, that the Colts scored and made the 2 pointer, that Bettis fumbled and then the field goal was missed until much later. I am really going to have to study the matchups this weekend. If at neutral sites, I'd take Carolina and Pittsburgh, but I'm also mindful how hard it is for a wild-card team to go on the road three straight weeks and win.

the matchups are interesting.. I think Seattle should win.. but I'm always reminded of how they choked last time they were in a close playoff game. Hasselbeck saying "We want the ball we're gonna win" CHOKE. Carolina is looking good.. damn good right now. I think if I was still in it.. I'd pick Carolina by a score.
In the other game-- I hate hate hate Jake Plummer so I'll go with the Steelers based on that fact alone |
