Or are they just playing way over their heads the first three weeks?

I'm a die-hard Bucs fan, and have been for years and years. I didn't expect much this year though, I was thinking at BEST they'd have a shot to steal a wild card berth, since Atlanta and Carolina both seemed strong. Now I am wondering if they might just be better than advertised after a 3-0 start, and some serious production out of Cadillac Williams.

Thoughts or opinions?

No they're good, their defensive unit is one of the best and I think the combination of Kiffin/Gruden coaching them is what makes them tick.

And they finally have a running game to take the pressure off their passing offence. I think they are legit as long as the Cadillac stays out of the repair garage.

Same here. I think they're a solid team this year, defense has been playing great as usual and with Williams the offense is picking up it's slack. The key will be winning the tight games, they lost 8 last year by 1 score or less.

I say they at least make the playoffs, and maybe they'll luck out and Vick will get hurt and they'll make it to the NFC championship. They're the Cinderella for the NFC, I'm still going with my Bengals for the AFC.

I think your thread title is all wrong. The Bucs should not be considered a Cinderella team. Shit, they are only two years removed from winning the Super Bowl.

The Bengals, now there is a Cinderella team. When was the last time they even made the playoffs.

The Bucs have for the past ten years had a top ten defense and except for last years 5-11 have made the playoffs regularly. I am a Buc season ticket holder and am enjoying the success this year but it is a long year. We've got thirteen games to go.

This time of year, every team is one key injury away from disaster. ( Just ask the Jets)

I said "Cinderella" just because nearly every preseason ranking I saw had them as last, or next to last in their division. Now Sporting News picked them this week as the second best team in the entire NFL.

I think the Bucs definitely look like a playoff calibur team. I am a Lions fan so I hope they beat the Bucs on Sunday, but with how the Bucs have played this year it will be tough. Cadillac is I think so far the key addition to TB.
